48V LiFePO4 Battery Manufacturer & Supplier
CMX builds 48V LiFePO4 battery packs for distributors, system integrators, EPC contractors and
private-label programmes. This page is the sourcing entry point for the 48V / 51.2V class: what we build,
what to put in an RFQ, and what the commercial terms look like. If you already know the format you need,
go straight to the product range below; if you are still specifying, start with
the 48V LiFePO4 battery guide.
What “48V” means on a sourcing specification
48V is the system voltage, inherited from the lead-acid banks lithium replaced and kept by inverter
makers. The pack behind it is normally 51.2 V nominal — 16 LiFePO4 cells in series, which is the
arrangement stated on our
48V 100Ah server
rack pack datasheet (16S1P). Some suppliers build 15 cells in series for a nominal 48.0 V.
That difference is not cosmetic: at the same amp-hour rating, 51.2 V × 100 Ah = 5.12 kWh while
48.0 V × 100 Ah = 4.8 kWh — about 6.7% less energy. When you compare quotes, compare watt-hours, not
amp-hours, and confirm the cell count, because it also sets the charge window your inverter must be
programmed with.
The 48V range we build

| 48V 100Ah golf cart pack | Traction | 5.12 kWh | — | IP67, Bluetooth BMS, 4000+ cycles at 80% DoD |
| 48V 100Ah RV house battery | Mobile | 5.12 kWh | — | IP65, Smart BMS over CAN / RS485 |
| 20 kWh rolling cabinet | Rolling C&I | 20 kWh (system) | Up to 16 units (320 kWh) | EMS with remote monitoring |
Every model is available as OEM / ODM: voltage, capacity, BMS, communication protocol and enclosure are
configurable, and private-label branding is supported.
What to put in an RFQ
Six items decide whether a quote comes back accurate on the first pass:
- Energy in watt-hours, plus the usable figure. A 5.12 kWh module at 80% depth of discharge gives
about 4.10 kWh usable. State which number your system design is built on. - Cell configuration. 16S or 15S. It sets nominal voltage and the charge window.
- BMS protocol. CAN, RS485 or RS232, and whether your inverter runs closed-loop. Our packs
communicate over CAN and RS485 (RS232 on select models). - Cycle-life conditions. “6000 cycles” means nothing without depth of discharge and temperature.
Our rating is 6000+ cycles at 80% DoD and 25 °C. - Certification per market. UN38.3 for transport, plus IEC 62619, UL 1973, CE and RoHS as your
market requires. Ask for the certificate numbers, not just the logo list. - Enclosure and IP rating. Indoor cabinet (IP20), road exposure (IP65) or wash-down traction duty
(IP67) are different builds.
Manufacturing and quality control
Shenzhen CMX Battery Co., Ltd. is a LiFePO4 battery manufacturer with in-house cell sourcing, BMS
engineering and pack assembly, and a factory in Tangxia, Dongguan. We run our own capacity verification:
on our production test bench a 51.2 V 100 Ah pack measured 117.7 Ah against a 100 Ah nameplate,
because the cells graded into that build sit above the label rather than below it. The method and the
cross-pack table are published in our
capacity verification guide —
ask any supplier you are comparing for the equivalent test data.
Certification and export documentation ship with the order; see our
certifications and compliance page for what we hold
and what it covers.
Commercial terms
- Factory-direct pricing — FOB Shenzhen, with EXW, CIF and DDP available by destination.
- Wholesale and bulk orders, with container-level supply for distributors.
- Private label and OEM/ODM — branding, enclosure, voltage, capacity and BMS configurable per
programme. See the private-label programme. - Warranty — 5 to 10 years depending on model, with the cycle-life rating stated against
defined conditions. - MOQ and lead time — these depend on the configuration you specify; send the RFQ and we quote
them per programme rather than quoting a number that will not hold.
FAQ
Are you a manufacturer or a trading company?
A manufacturer. We do in-house cell sourcing, BMS engineering and pack assembly at our Tangxia,
Dongguan factory, and we publish our own capacity test data.
What is the difference between 48V and 51.2V packs?
51.2 V is 16 LiFePO4 cells in series; a pack labelled 48.0 V is usually 15. 48 V inverters are built
around the 51.2 V window, so they work with either — but the energy per amp-hour differs by about 6.7%.
Can you match a competitor’s pack as a drop-in?
Often yes. Send the datasheet or the pack itself and we confirm the electrical and mechanical
specification, then quote an equivalent. Where the original uses a proprietary protocol, we confirm
compatibility in writing before tooling.
Do you provide UN38.3 and market certifications?
Yes — UN38.3 for transport, plus IEC 62619, UL 1973, CE and RoHS depending on model and destination.
Certificate numbers are provided with the quotation.
Can the BMS talk to our inverter?
Our 48V packs communicate over CAN and RS485 (RS232 on select models) and integrate with most
48V-class hybrid and off-grid inverters. Send the inverter model and we verify protocol matching before
shipment.
What is the MOQ?
It depends on how much of the pack is standard and how much is custom. Send the configuration and we
quote MOQ and lead time together.
