Deep Cycle LiFePO4 Batteries
Deep-cycle means discharge and recharge every day — EGbatt builds LiFePO4 packs for exactly that, with 80–90% usable DoD and thousands of cycles where lead-acid would quit.
Overview
A deep-cycle battery is rated to be discharged deeply and recharged repeatedly; that is the normal life of solar, mobility and equipment banks. LiFePO4 is the right chemistry because it tolerates 80–90% depth of discharge for 2,000–5,000 cycles, where lead-acid is ruined by anything past 50%. EGbatt builds deep-cycle packs at 12V/24V/48V with an integrated BMS and the enclosure your duty needs. The buying point is simple: size to daily kWh at the high usable DoD, and the bank pays for itself in cycle life.
Key specifications
Typical applications
- Solar and off-grid: Daily cycling.
- Mobility: RV, marine, cart.
- Equipment banks: 24V/48V duty.
- Backup: Repeated discharge.
How to specify & buying guide
- Size Ah from daily kWh ÷ voltage at 80–90% DoD, not lead-acid's 50%.
- Use a charger/controller with an LiFePO4 profile.
- Match BMS current to peak load (motor starts, inverters).
- Parallel only identical packs with equal cabling.
Engineering & manufacturing at EGbatt
Our modules pair matched LiFePO4 cells with a purpose-built BMS, busbars and mechanical enclosure. We design for the thermal and vibration profile of the application — stationary rack, wall mount or mobile pack — and validate the assembly on capacity, IR balance and thermal runaway margin before it ships.
Certifications & compliance
- UN38.3 — Mandatory lithium battery transport test (altitude, thermal, vibration, shock, external short). Required for any cross-border shipment.
- IEC62619 — International safety standard for industrial Li-ion cells and batteries; expected by EU and most APAC buyers.
- CE — EU declaration of conformity for the applicable directives.
- RoHS — Restriction of hazardous substances in the battery and BMS.
- IP65 — Dust-tight and low-pressure water-jet resistant — suitable for outdoor enclosures.
Frequently asked questions
How deep can I discharge it?
80–90% DoD routinely; lead-acid would be damaged past 50%.
How many cycles?
2,000–5,000 at the defined DoD and temperature.
Is it better than AGM?
Far deeper DoD and 3–5× the life, at higher upfront cost.
What voltage should I pick?
12V small, 24V mid, 48V once loads pass a few kW.
