280Ah LiFePO4 Cell
The 280Ah prismatic cell is the workhorse of the residential and small C&I storage market, and the cell EGbatt ships in the highest volume — verified capacity above nameplate, laser-welded terminals, mechanical drawings your enclosure depends on.
Overview
A 280Ah LiFePO4 prismatic delivers about 896Wh per cell at 3.2V nominal, which is why sixteen in series form the familiar 51.2V 100Ah (5.12kWh) module and eight form a 24V 100Ah block. We supply them Grade-A with verified capacity above nameplate, matched internal resistance across the batch, and the laser-welded terminals and busbars your pack assembly expects. Every order ships with per-cell test data keyed to serial numbers, so your production line is not sorting cells on arrival.
Key specifications
Typical applications
- 10–30 kWh home storage packs: 48V modules built from 16 cells in series.
- 51.2V 100Ah / 280Ah modules: The standard residential building block.
- Small C&I cabinets and racks: Parallel groups for shelf systems.
- DIY and OEM pack assembly: Bare or terminated, with drawings.
How to specify & buying guide
- Match internal resistance within 0.2 mΩ across a parallel group to avoid chronic imbalance and one cell carrying the load.
- Confirm enclosure height tolerance and busbar reach before swapping 280Ah into a design — dimensions vary slightly by batch.
- Require the per-cell report (capacity, IR, voltage, thickness) keyed to serial numbers; it is your incoming QC baseline.
- For cold climates, ask about our self-heating or low-temperature variants rather than charging a standard 280Ah below 0°C.
Engineering & manufacturing at EGbatt
EGbatt grades every LiFePO4 prismatic and cylindrical cell on capacity, internal resistance and self-discharge before it enters a pack. We ship matched batches with per-cell test data keyed to serial numbers, so your production line is not sorting cells on arrival. Bulk cells, welded modules and complete packs are all built under the same quality system.
Certifications & compliance
- UN38.3 — Mandatory lithium battery transport test (altitude, thermal, vibration, shock, external short). Required for any cross-border shipment.
- IEC62619 — International safety standard for industrial Li-ion cells and batteries; expected by EU and most APAC buyers.
- MSDS — Material safety data sheet for handling and shipping.
- RoHS — Restriction of hazardous substances in the battery and BMS.
- CE — EU declaration of conformity for the applicable directives.
Frequently asked questions
Are these cells new or reused?
All cells we sell are new Grade-A production. We do not trade in recycled or second-life cells.
Do busbars and terminals come with the cells?
Yes, laser-welded terminals plus nickel-plated busbars and bolts are included by default, or we can supply bare cells for your own laser welding.
What test data ships with the order?
Per-cell capacity, internal resistance, open-circuit voltage and thickness in Excel, keyed to the serial numbers printed on each cell.
Can I get a smaller sample before a container?
Samples start at 4 pieces so you can validate welding, dimensions and capacity before committing volume.
